Seliah was watching through the only window of her little residence module in Unity. Leaning over the docking space just in front of the station, she was perfectly placed to admire slavers' ships being destroyed by Ushra'Khan pilots. Even if she was often helping to the defense of the station instead of just watching it ...
She had been fighting in 9UY for hours and was now taking some rest, as the last CVA ships were being pulled out from the system. Hopefully she would be able to sleep more than three hours without being awaken by an enemy assault ... And then, as she was contemplating the scene, she saw an industrial ship - probably a Badger Mark - approaching the docking bay. The ship wasn't wearing any U'K tribal sign.
"It must be another Caldari trader soliciting our protection ..." whispered Seliah. "Let's have a look at it, these guys are always hauling nice stuff from Empire ..."
Seliah turned away from the window, grabbed some clothes on her bed and dressed her quickly and then went out of her room. Unconsciously locking the door, she headed to the undocking bay. As always, a lot of pilots were standing there, most of them just talking about their latest fights or the new autocannons they'd just bought for their ship. She just went amongst the group of pilots discussing together -she hadn't a lot of friends, as she was quite reserved, even shy. In a few movements, she climbed on a large container standing there, sat on the top of the container, lit a cigarette and started to observe the Badger Mark which was just entering the bay.
Then, surprisingly, Karn and a few other Neh'bu Kau Beh'Hude tribe eminent members went close to the industrial's landing footbridge, to receive the Caldari pilot and welcomed him as a brother. Seliah smiled.
"No expensive stuff from Empire for today ..."
She extinguished her cigarette on the container.
"But maybe another brother willing to fight along us ... That's far better than an entire pack of 180mm autocannons ..."
She watched one last time at the Caldari pilot before jumping down on the ground and heading back to her residence module. One more "stranger" joining the fight against slavery ... One more "stranger" becoming a true brother, not by the blood but by the mind ...
