Andrea walked up to the high wooden doors that held the office of the High Minister. Silently nodding at the two guards outside the door, they opened the doors to let her in. Inside, the High Minister waited at his desk.
"You wanted to see me, Holiness?" she said after a couple seconds.
The hooded figure barely nodded. "Your activities have become more and more... shall we say, intrepid? in their nature, and those above me have taken notice. This is not a good thing, I assure you." he responded in his gravelly voice.
She nodded a little. "I understand, Holiness. What is it that they have been saying, if I may inquire?"
"You may. There seems to be some recent inquiries into your activities on several of your more recent missions." was the answer, the hooded figure rising from his desk.
Her Intelligence training wouldn't allow her to give any telltale signs that might be used against her, but inwardly, her heart began beating a touch faster. "What do you mean, Holiness?"
He walked slowly around his desk, hooded eyes studying her. "In your mission to Anher I, You took two weeks longer than assigned to complete your mission, and yet you never offered a reason why."
She stifled a gulp. "I was trying to verify the authenticity of the information I was asked to gather, Holiness. The reason was mentioned in my report on that mission."
"Yes... and it was extremely vague in its wording." He slowly approached her, which caused her to snap to attention. "Then there was your most recent mission to Gukarla VII, when you failed to return any useful information at all."
"That's because there was none to gather! Your supposed 'impeccable lead' turned out to be nothing more than the hot air you breathed the false name with!" she snapped in reply, spinning to face him, which caused him to stop where he was. "I looked it up, Holiness, and your agent doesn't even exist in the intel files, and as you should know, we have much more access to many more things than you and the rest wish us to!"
"Silence!" the hooded figure hissed. "You are not, nor have you ever, been in a position to dispute! Your family line, for the last sixty-seven years, has been colluding with the Minmatar along the border, and your recent failures have proved it!"
She took two steps forward, her face flushing with anger. "And your blind arrogance would have you believing that the sky was pink with yellow polka dots if the Emperor decreed it!"
He hissed loudly. "Enough! Your treason will end here!"
Her demeanor snapped from red hot to ice cold in a split second. "No, Holiness, your time has come to meet your Creator. And I'll guarantee, your turbolift doesn't have an 'up' button."
His draw was fast, but hers was faster. Whipping out an Incendiary Beamer Pistol, which was quite illegal in the Amarr Empire, she fired two quick shots. Instantly, the High Minister was aflame. Screaming as the flames started consuming him, he ran towards the door, only to be shot two more times in the knees. Falling to the ground, the doors opened up, and the two guards came in with weapons drawn.
She was nowhere to be found.
(Sorry about the story, but I thought it'd add a little flavor to things. Amarr Special Forces pilot, looking to make a new start in a place that she regards more as home than where she's from.
