Greetings, Matari. My name is Zadok Lakira. Formerly a member of the Caldari Navy, holding the rank of lieutenant. Despite my loyalty, I was banished from my homeland, simply because of my outspoken views on the Amarr. My people have always been known for fighting an uphill struggle using our cunning and our devotion, much like the tribes of the Matari. We got to where we are today by despising weakness. The Amarr are weak. They are deluded and egotistical, and that weakness is contagious. My people's affiliation with the Amarr could lead to our downfall, or so I argued until I was banished. I wish to join you. I may not be one of your blood-brothers, but my hatred for Amarr arrogance shold be of interest to you, one would hope. A few sources tell me I need sponsorship in order to join this dark crusade, I hope that one of you members will be so kind as to sponsor this forgotten soldier.

(OOC: Hi, I only have approximately two million skillpoints but this is a new character. I have been playing EVE for about two years now and I have experience in PVP (0.0 and empire) and PVE. If the fact that this is a new character worries you, then I would be happy to provide you with a login screenshot.)

(OOC: It seems that the leaders of this corporation think that I am a spy and that I should wait a month before trying to apply to join again. I feel I should defend myself here:

People became suspicious when I mentioned my previous character, who was once a member of an Ammatar rp corp. If I was a spy, I wouldn't have admitted this. I didn't have to tell anyone anything about this, but I did anyway. A real spy would have come to you posing as a new player. A real spy would have edited his logon screen so that the required screenshot wouldn't divulge the presence of this first character. In fact, chances are a real spy would have a second account for such acts of espionage.))

or:

Chances are, youngling, you are indeed a spy.
We have these procedures in place for a reason and that reason must be upheld and respected. If you are indeed serious about joining this tribe of born serpents teeth then you will respect the wishes of the corperation and wait it out.

Such is the way of the brutor life my young friend, Just when you think your almost going to make it. it is taken farther from your reach. Fret not though, as life itself is nothing more than a series of interjoined struggles that must be overcome time and again in the face of clear adversity. This serves a single purpose, to strengthen and mould you for the fight that has been happening since before even i was born and will continue, it seems, long after i am dead.

OOC, or a sensible spy would......

welcome to the world of circular argument. your agrument for why you're not a spy wasn't overly convincing, nor the reason you didn't just up and state it straight away. There are circumstance where i'd think that you might be reputable but they're quite remote and most do require more proof than just, 'hi! i'd like to join!'

Think about it, what would CVA say if i were to ask to join there on a second account but told them about this one?

OOC - I'm afraid that your analogy fails as I am not currently part of the Amatar RP corp. I left and joined others after that. Also be so kind as to notice that I didn't remain in that rp corp for very long. If my main character was still part of that corp then this would be understandable. I know my argument isn't exactly watertight, but if you were to set up a spy character, would you openly admit your ties with an enemy alliance?

This senior member expects that his recruiters be willing to sponsor you before admission and thinks that patience is a good thing :)

We don't have an open door recruiting policy and therefore regardless of past associations it takes time to find someone willing to bring you in.

A circular argument on whether someone is a spy or not leads nowhere, take your time, let us get to know you and lets see what happens.

That's fine. I don't mind waiting for a bit. I didn't expect to get in straight away. I jsut felt the need to state the reasons why I'm not a spy. :)
