Speaking of languages - arabic has many dialects, so different at times that a pan-arabic dictionary is necessary.

One story I've been writing uses dialects translated to english as different vocab/slang.

Do you think a possible analogy for ammatar vs minmatar spoken language is that of classical arabic with latin overtones vs. lebanese/algerian arabic. The reason I choose the classical arabic for ammatar is due to 'nobility' using the more official words, and aping the amarr by integrating latin (amarr literary influence?) into the structure. Lebanese and algerian arabic have lots of outside influences. Lebanese arabic has a very different melody to classical arabic, and usually has french words (gallente slang?) intermingled when spoken.

Interesting thread here guys, I would have never thought of Matari being Arabic, it's a beautiful language if you know how to speak it.

I think of the Matar as Nordic decent with some Clet/Gaul in there too. The Cursed Amarr are the Middle Eastern/Egyptian decendants, at least to me.
